Steve Spurrier Not Happy ESPN Chose To Highlight "The Other USC" Pro Day

South Carolina had its pro day today. Steve Spurrier seemed a little miffed the WWL seemed preoccupied with that other USC. From Josh Kendall:

"“I noticed both USCs had their pro timing day today. One of them finished No. 7 in the country, the other was not in the Top 25, yet ESPN decided to go out to the one in California which did not finish in the Top 25 and televise their day live. It’s interesting that (ESPN) doesnt come around here on signing day, they don’t come around here on pro timing day and yet they want us to play all these Thursday night games. Maybe we need to consider playing on that new network, FoxSports 1.”"

We’re guessing no slight was intended. Who can resist the appeal of a strapping blonde quarterback? Especially one that was profoundly mediocre on mid-range passes at the college level despite having two of the best receivers in the country? Nonetheless, I think we can all agree: SEC football gets far too little media attention. Toiling in anonymity, the HBC is. Perhaps, a GameDay feature on the bucket visor might smooth things over?
