Father of Patriots Receiver Danny Amendola is Suing Cowboys Stadium over the Runaway Golf Cart in 2011

Remember the wild runaway golf cart at the 2011 Texas High School Football Championship Game? Danny Amendola’s father, Alfred “Willie” Amendola, was one of the coaches on the field who was plowed over by the unmanned vehicle (which took off when some pylons lodged on the gas pedal). According to the San Antonio Express-News, Amendola, now the coach of Conroe High School, is suing Cowboys Stadium over the incident.
According to the petition filed, the accident occurred when employees threw objects on to the floor of the vehicle, causing it to take off. The lawsuit claims “great personal embarrassment and mental anguish, in addition to his considerable physical injuries” because the incident was captured on video and distributed by media sources.
