Tomorrow's Mets-Twins Game is Still On for Now, Even Though Target Field is Covered in Snow

The Minnesota Twins could have their first snow cancellation since the team moved back outdoors into Target Field in 2010 this weekend. Snow is currently covering the field and seating, and temperatures are going to be around freezing throughout the weekend. It is not good timing for Twins and the earlier inter-league schedule thanks to each league now having fifteen teams.

The New York Mets are tomorrow’s opponent, and it will be the only scheduled series between the two teams. A cancellation and bad weather over the weekend could wreak havoc on the schedules later this year.

"“As always, we will make every effort to play the game as scheduled and we currently plan to play on Friday night,” said Chris Iles, a team spokesman. “Since this is the only visit by the Mets this year, it is important that we play the game if at all possible, especially considering that the weekend forecast is also questionable.”"
