Yankees Will Hold Moment of Silence for Boston and Play "Sweet Caroline" After 3rd Inning

The New York Yankees announced this afternoon that they’ll be holding a moment of silence before tonight’s game against the Diamondbacks for those affected by the Boston Marathon attack. The team will also follow with a fitting tribute to Boston and play “Sweet Caroline,” a Fenway Park staple since the late 90s, after the third inning. A nice, classy move by the Yankees. While some might think a simple gesture like this might not mean much, it appears to mean a hell of a lot to Boston fans. And Joe Girardi selflessly throwing Chris Stewart into the starting lineup is the perfect touch of comic relief we’ve all been yearning for.
