Alex Rodriguez has always been notable, but he seems to be hitting peak frequency the past week. First, it emerged he tried to buy medical records from a Florida anti-aging clinic. Now, he has been linked with a federal gambling ring bust that has resulted in multiple arrests in New York and elsewhere. This appears to be the same ring he was linked to in 2011.

Rodriguez, reportedly, stopped attending the games after the 2011 report, just like he stopped attending them when the Yankees warned him about it in 2005 or when he used PEDs only in a narrow period and was contrite about it. If you can’t trust the word of a fake charity proprietor and noted slum lord, who can you trust?

Other semi-related sports figures linked: Molly Bloom, whose parents were apparent James Joyce fans. The sister of former Olympic skier and Colorado football player Jeremy Bloom has been previously described as a “poker madam.” Also Alimzhan Tokhtakhounov, presently under indictment for trying to fix the figure skating competition at the 2002 Olympics.
