Often, if you’re watching soccer, you’ll hear a British-born commentator refer to a sloppy play as, “pub league defending.”
The video above, between (presumably) Sunday League teams Stonewall FC and Rebellion FC, is what they’re talking about.
There’s some sort of sad beauty to the goal — punctuated by the desperate cries of “GET IT OUT!” off camera.
It probably deserves to be set to a Belle & Sebastian song.
It could of been a brilliant career, no?
