Neil Diamond’s Sweet Caroline has been a staple at Fenway Park for some time now and for sports fans has become forever linked to Boston. Earlier this week the Yankees honored Boston by playing Sweet Caroline at Yankee Stadium. Today, Neil Diamond showed up at Fenway Park to perform Sweet Caroline live. According to the Red Sox radio announcers, Diamond flew out on his own and showed up unannounced and asked to sing. Not using an instrumental backing track was an… interesting … choice.
