Chael Sonnen Touched Sage Steele's Hair on SportsCenter: "That's Real Hair, People" [Video] [UPDATE]

Chael Sonnen and Jon Jones are in Bristol today to promote their upcoming fight at UFC 159 this Saturday night. Live spots on SportsCenter can’t possibly be worse than the horrendous Warrant-soundtracked ad the UFC has been running, right? I guess that depends on how you feel about Chael Sonnen’s shtick. During this spot, Chael breaks character to ask Sage Steele if he can touch her hair. Steele obliges Sonnen and laughs through it. Then Chael tells the world how soft it is and assures Steele that everyone she has ever interviewed had wanted to touch her hair.

[UPDATE: Sage Steele has given a comment to Big Lead Sports about the Sportscenter moment with Sonnen. “It was definitely one of the more awkward interviews I’ve done – the first and hopefully last time I’ve had some ask to touch my hair – but it’s not like anything could mess it up more than it already is! I’ve met Chael before and knew going in that he was a wild man. You just have to know your subject. He’s a character … I think he’s hysterical and totally harmless.]
