It's Joe Maddon Garden Gnome Night at the Trop

Fresh off the heels of David Price’s dog bobblehead night, the Tampa Bay Rays will unveil another downright wacky promotion.
Tonight when the Rays host the Yankees at Tropicana Field, the first 10,000 lucky fans through the turnstiles will be treated to a Joe Maddon Garden Gnome. The level of quirkiness should only further endear the bespectacled manager to the baseball media.
Apparently the Rays realize they need more to attract people to come watch indoor baseball than James Loney playing first base.
Next up on the Rays promo calendar is a Kenny Loggins postgame concert on May 11.
