Victor Martinez Cuts His Attempt to Score Short and Heads for the Dugout [GIF]

Victor Martinez wants you to remind you that the baseball season is long and he’d rather not injure himself in a collision with a catcher even if his team is down by one run and there are two outs. His attempt to make it to home was literally cut short when Jeff Francoeur threw a rope from right to Salvador Perez. Martinez obviously believes the best way to avoid injury is to avoid being tagged, or touched at all, at home plate. He simply turned for the dugout rather than risk injury at the plate.
