Dan Mullen Sent a Mother's Day Card to a Recruit's Mom

Mississippi State head coach Dan Mullen has sent out some interesting cards to recruits, but none are as interesting as the one he sent to Chase Johnson‘s mom. Mullen hasn’t even offered Johnson a scholarship or contacted him yet.

"“She wasn’t expecting (the letter), especially from an SEC coach,” said Chase Johnson. “She was shocked.” “I’ve always liked Mississippi State,” Johnson said. “But I think it affected me. They believe family is number one. They are going to accept you and your family. They aren’t just recuting you. they are recruiting your whole family.”"

I guess Mullen knows that if you get to the mom there’s a chance the kid will listen.
