The Knicks shot poorly, got slaughtered on the glass, and Carmelo Anthony fouled out after another mediocre shooting night, and New York is on the brink of elimination after a 93-82 loss to the Pacers in Indiana.

George Hill led all scorers with 26 points as Indiana essentially led the entire game and was never seriously threatened in the second half. Carmelo scored 24 points on 23 shots and had one assist. JR Smith, who hasn’t done jack since throwing that elbow at Jason Terry, shot 7-of-22, but a few of those buckets came late in the game when it was clear the Pacers had won.

Paul George collected 14 rebounds, David West took 10, and Roy Hibbert 11 as the Pacers outrebounded New York 54-36. With New York missing a million three pointers again (actually 8-of-28), and not getting any rebounds, they’ve got no shot at winning.

I’m sure the New York media will be fair and measured with Melo over the next 48 hours before Game Five.
