Michigan State Commit Jay Harris Turned Down Football Scholarship For Budding Rap Career [UPDATE]

Michigan State commit Jay Harris, a three-star wide receiver from Pennsylvania, has turned down a college football scholarship for his burgeoning rap career under the handle “Jay Datbull.” Guessing whatever he’s lighting up in the opening segment would be frowned upon in NCAA circles (and less harmful than playing football).
Harris’ YouTube music video has over 50,000 views. His “mixtape” drops June 1st. No word on whether the possibility of decapitation by errant Maxwell pass was what gave him second thoughts.
UPDATE: Philly.com is reporting Michigan State stripped his scholarship after the videos emerged.
