David Wright Named MLB's 'Hottest Cub' by Dating Website

The good week on and off the field for the New York Mets continues. A couple days after it was revealed the club’s young pitching phenom Matt Harvey was dating an SI swimsuit model, comes this prestigious title bestowed on third baseman David Wright. The dating website CougarLife.com polled 11,000 people on its website and Wright was named “hottest cub” in the majors.
Anyway, here’s a quote from CougarLife.com spokesman Marlo Jordan about the poll:
"“Our recent survey showed that many of our female members enjoy watching sports, and love baseball in particular. With all those virile young men rounding the bases in form fitting pants, what’s not to like?”"
Phillie pitcher Cole Hamels finished No. 2 in the poll.
With the All-Star game this July at Citi Field let’s keep our fingers crossed Bud Selig will there to hand Wright his “hottest cub” award. Figure in a few years this becomes one of the BWWA annual postseason awards. Or not.
The Mets will try to win their fourth straight game against the rival Yankees tonight in the Bronx.
