This preserved a 3-3 draw with Tijuana that sent the Brazilian club into the semifinals on away goals. They will face Argentine club Newell’s Old Boys on July 3rd. Atletico Mineiro is also home to Brazilian star Ronaldinho, who joined from Flamengo in 2012.
