“State of Origin” is an annual series of rugby matches in Australia that pits players who started their careers in New South Wales and Queensland against each other. It sounds pretty damn epic. In the first game of this year’s series, NSW Blues captain Paul Gallen got into it with Queensland’s Nate Myles. Myles took exception to Gallen hitting him in the face during a tackle so the two got into a shoving match.

Gallen then lands a clean 1-2 to Myles’ grill. As other players jump in, Gallen lands a few more rights to the head. When it is all over, the referee gives Gallen a stern talking to and tells him they aren’t going to tolerate such actions. HE PUNCHED AN OPPONENT IN THE FACE MULTIPLE TIMES! I love rugby.
