Shawn Stefani was -12 heading into the Par 3 11th hole at the FedEx St. Jude Classic when things started going wrong. First Stefani hit his tee-shot into the water, took a drop in the designated drop-zone and sailed his third shot over the green into the bunker behind it. Shot four out of the bunker didn’t make it onto the green and rolled back down into the bunker. Stefani’s second attempt to escape the sand, his fifth shot, was good. A missed three-footer for a triple bogey that rolled four feet past the hole left him with a chance at a quadruple bogey. That’s tough to handle, but Stefani just started the final round with a one-stroke lead over Harris English, thanks to birdies on 14, 16, 17, and 18.
