South Carolina Commit: "The academic part, it's like you have to try to fail"

Arden Key, a 2015 DE from Georgia, committed to South Carolina on Sunday. When asked about his decision, he listed the school’s apparent lack of academic rigor as one of its selling points. 

"“The academic part, it’s like you have to try to fail,” Key said. “I love the coaches. They are always ready for something. And it isn’t far from home. It gives you a different environment. It’s in the city, but it’s also in the country.”"

Key spurned offers from more demanding institutions such as North Carolina, Stanford, USC, UCLA, Vanderbilt and UVA.
