Kobe Bryant Did Some Physiotherapy at AC Milan, Wore a Backpack, Spoke Mostly Fluent Italian

Who visits Central Italy in the dead middle of the summer? Kobe, apparently. The Lakers star visited AC Milan’s Milanello training facility. Putting our three semesters of intensive college Italian to work, it seems he was there doing some form of rehab and physiotherapy. The club’s “Milan Lab” has for many years been renowned for reviving creaky veterans. They are sort of the Phoenix Suns training staff of European soccer.
Kobe, improbably, looks like he will back for the regular season. Were we Bill Simmons we would point out that Milan’s close proximity to Germany.
