Jose Villarreal, a 19-year-old American midfielder, scored this impressive goal during the Los Angeles Galaxy’s loss to superpower Real Madrid. The teams played in Phoenix as part of the International Champions Cup tournament.

Villarreal was a member of the United States team that played in the U-20 World Cup earlier this summer in Turkey. Although he didn’t make much of an impact — the U.S. team didn’t win in three matches — Villarreal has been earmarked as a player to watch. There’s probably too many guys in Jurgen Klinsmann’s player pool for Villarreal to find a way into consideration for the 2014 World Cup roster, still remember his name for down the road.
