Alex Rodriguez … have you heard of him? The highly publicized Yankees third baseman made his 2013 debut in the second inning of tonight’s Yankees game against the White Sox in Chicago. Rodriguez dunked a little pop fly single over short on an 2-0 pitch, which White Sox left fielder Casper Wells couldn’t snare. A-Rod’s not going to let the haters get him down!

Earlier in the day Rodriguez was given a suspension through the 2014 season for his involvement with the Biogenesis clinic. He is appealing the decision, a decision which could drag until after the season via comments from MLBPA chief Michael Weiner.

Pitching for the White Sox was Jose Quintana, who was himself suspended for the entire 2007 season for violating baseball’s minor league drug policy.

The system works. Or not. Who can rightly say any more? At least Yankees bros enjoyed it.
