"Tanya Cummings-Singleton, 37, was deemed in contempt of the grand jury she was subpoenaed to appear before, a source familiar with the investigation said. She has been in custody since Aug. 1, according to a spokesman for South Bay House of Correction in Suffolk County. Authorities say Cummings-Singleton bought a bus ticket for Wallace, who has been charged with accessory after the fact to murder, to travel to Florida the week after Lloyd’s bullet-ridden body was found in an industrial park near Hernandez’s home in North Attleborough, Mass. Ortiz told investigators he discussed Lloyd’s murder with Cummings-Singleton after he and Wallace returned to Bristol on June 17, court records indicate."

Based on police details, Cummings-Singleton was very close with Hernandez, and since the police have seized her phone, further links are bound to emerge. Carmelo Anthony is proud of her ability to not snitch on her jailed relative. [via the Courant]
