Coronel Romero and Porvenir met in the Liga Regional del Sud championship game in Paraguay last week. Coronel won, 2-0, and as you can see, the losing team might have put some of the blame on the referee. During the second half, a Porvenir player received a red card for a particularly physical tackle.

Then two of his teammates were given reds for bumping the referee. Assuming the ref didn’t understand the protest up until that point, Marcos Leguizamón came running in and kicked the referee in the face. Leguizamón quickly backpedaled away from the crowd which was mostly his teammates. You know, like any good tough guy would. It appears the game was called at that point as the referee leaves the pitch with a police escort.
