Gareth Bale, maybe you’ve heard of him? Even if you’re not a soccer fan you likely saw something over Labor Day weekend about his record $132 million move from Tottenham to Real Madrid.

Monday Real staged a pep rally at the Bernabeu to welcome the Welshman to the Spanish capital. Fans cheered and took pictures. Bale modeled his new shirt and juggled a ball. Fun for everybody!

Of course one of the security guards (police?) positioned outside the stadium had no idea who the club’s new signing was when asked by Sky News. Well done. Sometimes as soccer fans the unending string of transfer rumors makes us wish we were as blissfully unaware, too. (Side note: It would have been a little funnier had the guard responded, “Que?” in the vein of ‘Fawlty Towers,’ but we digress.)

Here’s the full clip of Bale’s introduction. Looks like an utter blast.
