Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting that the NBA is going to suspend J.R. Smith of the New York Knicks for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. Frank Isola of the New York Daily News says that Smith is facing punishment, in the form of a five game suspension. According to Isola, the length of suspension suggests it is for substance abuse, rather than performance enhancing drugs.
