The Chiefs haven’t always been pretty, but they have gotten two victories. The first came against Jacksonville, which looks like one of those litmus tests. If you cannot handle Jacksonville, you probably have no chance at the playoffs. Test passed in that regard.

Last week was the gutty performance in a close game. Kansas City had their struggles. Jamaal Charles was not 100%, and those that criticize Alex Smith for not throwing downfield were correct for the day. The Chiefs had a great early drive but largely survived and relied on the defense to stifle the Cowboys. They did so except for Dez Bryant being a man among boys.

This should still be the best defense Chip Kelly has faced so far–faint praise, you have been damned. The Redskins are a nightmare defensively. The Chargers have their issues. We’ll find out just how good the Chiefs defense is tonight, because this will also be their stiffest test to date.
