According the NBC Bay Area, the Santa Clara County District Attorney has filed three felony weapons charges against San Francisco’s Aldon Smith. These charges are based on the same incident for which Smith (and former teammate Delanie Walker) were recently sued. In June of 2011, Aldon Smith hosted a house party, and was stabbed. According to the lawsuit, Smith and Walker illegally possessed weapons and began firing them in the air to get people to leave, which allegedly set off a chain of events leading to the shooting of the plaintiff in the civil suit.

Right after this lawsuit was filed, Smith was arrested for another DUI. He played in the next game before leaving the team indefinitely to go through rehab. He may be sitting out more as the league also looks into this incident.
