Starling Marte and Pete Kozma Both Had Spectacular Catches in Game Five of the NLDS
By Michael Shamburger
Starling Marte, Pittsburgh left fielder, robbed Matt Carpenter of a base hit in the bottom of the third inning of Game 5 of the NLDS.
The Cardinals wouldn’t be shown up in their own stadium though, as shortstop Pete Kozma answered Marte’s grab with a great play of his own in the top of the fourth on a would-be hit by Neil Walker.
The Cards lead 3-0 in the bottom of the sixth inning after a David Freese home run.
