Miguel Cabrera Went Boom Against Sonny Gray

Miguel Cabrera turned on a 94-mph, fourth-inning fastball from Oakland rookie Sonny Gray, sending it deep into the seats barren concrete staircase in left field at the O.Co Coliseum. It gave the Tigers an early 2-0 lead. The ailing Cabrera entered Thursday’s deciding ALDS game 4-for-16 without an extra base hit.
It was a big-time player rising to the occasion on the big stage.
Gray loaded the bases with two outs, but escaped further damage.
