Felix Hernandez's Wife Allegedly Ripped Off For More Than $180,000 By Teammate's Wife
Felix Hernandez had a $19,857,000 salary in 2013. In 2012 King Felix made $18.5 million. Mariners’ outfielder Carlos Peguero makes about $500,000 a year. Peguero’s wife, Maria, must have had a problem with that so she took matters – and Hernandez’s wife’s debit card information – into her own hands. From the Seattle Times:
"charges were filed by the U.S. Secret Service on Oct. 1 and allege that Maria Peguero used a debit card belonging to Sandra Hernandez to have nearly $180,000 in merchandise from Saks Fifth Avenue delivered to her Fife apartment between June 26, 2012 and Oct. 9, 2012."
Maria Peguero allegedly made 60 online purchases at Saks Fifth Avenue using the debit card of Sandra Hernandez. Peguero gained access to the card when the two women were doing online shopping during a Mariners’ road trip. In 2010, she was arrested for shoplifting at a TJ Maxx in Texas.
