Doug Martin, the 2nd-year running back of Tampa Bay, is believed to be out for the year with a torn labrum in his shoulder according to Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports. This would be devastating news for the Bucs, who already traded away their QB, and are 0-6. Things keep unraveling for Greg Schiano, who is having a terrible sophomore season coaching Tampa Bay. If the Bucs go 1-15 or 2-14, will Schiano return?

Martin, who rushed for 1,454 yards as a rookie and averaged 4.6 yards per carry, has struggled this year, averaging just 3.6 yards per carry and scoring just once. He’s only rushed for 456 yards and most of that came against New Orleans (144). Fantasy owners, vexed by Martin’s weak season so far, must be irate now.

And while we’re on the topic of Fantasy Football … I have Reggie Wayne and Doug Martin. Both are now out for the season. So is Sam Braford of the Rams. And the league will know soon about Jay Cutler and the severity of his groin injury.
