Jermaine Jones Used His Head Quite Literally Today vs. Chelsea

Jermaine Jones, thanks to his reckless style, will never be the most beloved player to ever put on the U.S. National Team shirt.

Even the most ardent anti-Jones folks have to wince watching him taking a ball kicked by Chelsea’s Brazilian maestro Oscar square in the face during today’s Champions League match in Gelsenkirchen, Germany.

Adding insult to injury, Schalke trails Chelsea 2-0 on a pair of goals by Fernando Torres. Jones, as you might guess, picked up a yellow card in the first half.

If only Jones still had the ‘sno fro’ … the ball would have deflected off its sheer awesomeness.
