October 2013 is shaping up as the best month for beards since the 19th century. The Red Sox and all their Amish-style beards are a win away from the World Series. Over the weekend American goalie Tim Howard stopped Christian Benteke’s during Everton’s 2-0 win over Aston Villa in the Premier League.

Metro quotes Howard attributing his Rick Ross-style beard toward helping him make the save:

" “I think I’ve gained most of my strength from the beard.”"

Some things across the Atlantic are lost in translation. The first question that should have been asked was why Howard celebrated the save with Aaron Rodgers’ touchdown championship belt celebration.

Anyways, if the power of beards are to be believed then James Harden and the Rockets will surely win the NBA title this season.
