Antrel Rolle has made a name for himself as a Super Bowl-winning safety, as well as one of the more candid interviews in the NFL via his weekly WFAN appearance with Joe Benigno and Evan Roberts. Rolle was on Tuesday morning, in his regular spot, and the topic turned toward the on-going Richie Incognito/Jonathan Martin situation with the Dolphins.

Rolle didn’t mince his words, saying among other things that Martin was as much to blame as Incognito for allowing the locker room bullying to occur. Rolle cited that Martin needed to be a man and stand up for himself.

A partial transcription from CBS New York reads:

“Richie Incognito, is he wrong? Absolutely, but I think the other guy is just as much to blame because he’s allowed it to happen.”

“First of all, know something like that would never, ever happen to myself, because I wouldn’t allow it to happen … You know, at this level, you’re a man. You’re not a little boy. You’re not a freshman in college. You’re a man. So I think everything has its limits. So there’s no way that another man is gonna make me pay for something that I choose not to pay for.”

“Hopefully he’s able to bounce back and recover from all that has happened and understand it, and take awareness of, you know, that, you’re a grown-a– man. You need to stand up for yourself.”

From the outside-looking-in, the entire situation looks uglier and uglier by the minute. It’s a safe guess that Rolle isn’t the only pro with similar sentiments on what allegedly went down in the Miami locker room.
