Alex Ovechkin and James Harden Are Kindred Defensive Spirits

James Harden is 4th in the NBA in scoring. Harden’s defense has come under some scrutiny this season based on the fact that he doesn’t appear to be playing any. Luckily for Harden, he isn’t the only winter sport superstar with above average offensive talents who just can’t seem to do that defense thing very well. Meet Alexander Ovechkin. He’s a hockey player. Ovi is 3rd in the NHL with 13 goals. Here he is trying to play defense mere seconds before Gabriel Landeskog scores a goal.

Landeskog gets hit harder by his teammate during the goal celebration than by Ovi. We are being treated to some tremendous superstar defense this year.
