Artem Anisimov Scored a Truly Bizarre Goal
By Kyle Koster
The goal Artem Anisimov scored last night was unconventional, but it counted the same as an aesthetically pleasing effort. The Columbus Blue Jackets center slashed a puck toward the Montreal Candiens’ goal during a scramble and got incredibly lucky. After taking a deflection off Daniel Briere’s stick, the puck rocketed into the air and landed just beyond goaltender Peter Budaj, who had been taken out of the play via a collision.
Simply put, it was slop. Very unique slop.
