Steve Gardner is a defender on Frickley United, but of course you already knew that. During Sunday’s non-league English match with FC United — the supporters-run breakaway club from Manchester United — Gardner scored what looks to be the longest own goal in recent memory, somehow hoofing the ball into the back of his own net from a good 40-yards away. Award some bonus points since the opponent chasing Gardner is Rhodri Giggs, brother of Manchester United legend Ryan.

Anyways, let’s call Gardner’s accomplishment a reverse David Beckham.
