The Devils beat the Ducks in Anaheim last night on a strange own goal in overtime. Announcers initially thought that Travis Zajac had kicked the puck into the net because that’s exactly what he tried to do. Replays showed that Anaheim’s Ben Lovejoy was trying to clear a puck in front of his own net and the puck bounced off teammate Corey Perry’s leg into the net. This was the Ducks’ first home loss of the season.
