Derrick Rose Out for the Season After Surgery to Repair Torn Meniscus

Derrick Rose’s 2013-2014 season is over, the Chicago Bulls just announced on twitter. The point guard tore his meniscus Friday night, had surgery this morning, and one of the game’s best young players won’t be seen again until late October 2014.

Man, this is depressing. Rose played in just 10 games this year, didn’t look like his old fearless self, and shot just 35 percent from the field.

Let’s hope he’s back next season doing these kinds of things:
