Steeve Ho You Fat: Greatest Name in Professional Basketball History?

My Internet comrade Slade, proprietor of Hyper Vocal, is spending Thanksgiving in Paris and attended a French professional basketball game Friday night. Let’s all be thankful for this decision since he happened to stumble upon perhaps the best name professional sports has ever seen: Steeve Ho You Fat.

This is by all accounts a real name and not some sort of XFL nickname scenario, making it the best name ever printed on the back of a jersey. In turn 1990s NCAA basketball luminaries Scientific (and Majestic) Mapp, along with Exree Hipp have some company on the basketball all-time, all-name team.

Ho You Fat, who plays for Cholet, is already 25 years old and only averaging 2.5 points per game, so it’s unlikely he’ll ever end up in the NBA … but we can always dream, can’t we? [Pic via @SladeHV]
