Brook Lopez is done for the rest of the NBA season after apparently breaking his foot Friday night in the Nets overtime loss to the 76ers. Lopez leads Brooklyn in scoring at 20.7 ppg. He’s already missed eight games this season due to injuries.

Lopez’s injury is the latest blow for the Nets and first-year coach Jason Kidd. After acquiring Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce from Boston, Brooklyn was expected to be a contender this season. Instead the Nets are 9-17 and seemingly going nowhere.
