Alvaro Negredo Scored a Brilliant Volley for Manchester City vs. West Ham United

Alvaro Negredo tallied a hat trick for Manchester City Wednesday afternoon in the first leg of their League Cup semifinal against West Ham United. The highlight was this eye-popping, volley set up by Yaya Toure inside his own half which started the on-going rout. The game finished 6-0, piling even more pressure on under-fire Irons manager Sam Allardyce.

Coming into today, the Spaniard had bagged 17 goals across all competitions for City this season, his first in England. He’s helped the team overcome the loss to Kun Aguero to injury and the absolute disappearance of Stefan Jovetic, who like Negredo was signed over the summer.

By the time May rolls around, expect Negredo to earn plaudits as the best signing of the season. He’s been that good.

And yes, West Ham, has been that bad.
