Sjinkie Knegt, a Dutch speed skater (obviously), finished third this weekend at the European Short Track Championships in Dresden, Germany. Knegt wasn’t very happy about his place and decided to flip the winner the bird, two of them in fact. He was later stripped of his third-place finish for the gesture.

Let’s hope Knegt makes the Dutch Olympic team next month. Vladimir Putin probably won’t be too thrilled, but it would be fun if he repeated his act of poor sportsmanship for the entire world to see. Could you imagine the European “hot takes” it would produce?!?

In any event, Knegt probably cost himself a Dutch Subway endorsement contract.
