Last week, Arian Foster was taken to court last Wednesday by 20-year-old University of Houston student Brittany Norwood. Ms. Norwood sought a restraining order against the Texans running back and alleged that he had impregnated her and tried to pressure her into getting an abortion. The next day, Foster was irate about being stalked by a local news crew.

This week a recorded phone conversation distributed by TMZ supposedly has Ms. Norwood claiming some of the harassment claims were embellished. Foster has now filed a defamation lawsuit in response to everything that’s occurred. Sean Pendergast at Houston Press has a lot of the details:

"In its summary paragraph, the counterclaim calls Norwood’s claims against Foster “groundless and baseless” and says that they are “designed to impugn the character and reputation of A.I.F. [Foster’s initials] with the intent to extort monies from A.I.F.” It goes on to ostensibly cite the TMZ recording, saying Norwood herself admits her accusations are false."

Foster is seeking damages for several different items, including lost income, pain and suffering, and court expenses.
