Kevin Durant is on such a scoring binge, NBA writers are running out of adjectives to describe just how phenomenal he’s playing. Tuesday night, with the Thunder trailing Portland at home 93-90 in the fourth quarter, Durant slammed his hand on the scorer’s table. He was whistled for a technical foul.

What happened next is something out of Michael Jordan’s book: Durant scored in the lane, then made a 3-pointer, and started jawing at the Portland bench (4:20 in the video), reportedly saying, “I’m about to take this shit over.” And that’s what he did: OKC closed the game on a 15-4 run – Durant had 11 – to beat the Blazers. The NBA’s leading scorer finished with 46 points on a ruthlessly efficient 17-of-25 from the field, including 6-of-7 from deep. Afterward, Portland’s Mo Williams said, “The way he was playing, he probably could have scored on Jesus.”

Durant, going at it alone with Russell Westbrook injured, is doing things that seem unfathomable.:
