The Pro Bowl is getting ready to start. Our time here is done. Here are photos from events this past week with USAA, Official Military Appreciation Sponsor of the NFL.

Our group attended one of the many Play 60 Events on the island this week, scattered around at various elementary school. We were there with A.J. Green and Vontaze Burfict of the Bengals . . .

And several of the Bears players (Matt Forte, Alshon Jeffery, Brandon Marshall, and Kyle Long). We also ran over to another event on the base at Marine Corps Base Kaneohe Bay, where several players were participating in a mural project and showing off their artistic side (I wrote about Joe Thomas earlier)

We then moved onto the hotel where the Pro Bowl Draft event occurred. These lucky guys had no problem hanging out with a key member of the team that earned the first overall pick.

Brandon Flowers was ready for a photo with some service members after being drafted.

I also interviewed Philip Rivers after the event was done, showing off my ability to multi-task.

The next day, we were out at practice at Earhart Field on Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam until mid-afternoon. The players were out there in their neon numbered shirts (green for Deion; orange for Rice). Practice moved with a great pace, for an island paradise. Here’s J.J. Watt signing for some fans.

I also walked around and shot some video of the crowds and players when Team Deion finished their session.
