Ric Wee, an Everton supporter of over 30 years from Malaysia, made his maiden voyage to the club’s Goodison Park for Wednesday’s scheduled game against Crystal Palace. The only problem? The game was postponed by police due to winds gusting up to 100 mph in the area.

It was bad news for everyone, especially Wee who posted a jubilant picture of himself inside Goodison on Twitter before the postponement. The photo spread around the social media site and caught the attention of Everton club officials who invited Wee on a tour of Goodison Park before he left, where he got to meet manager Roberto Martinez and star left back Leighton Baines.

Classy move by Everton, which bills itself as “The People’s Club.”
