James van Riemsdyk, who plays left wing for the Toronto Maple Leafs, scored from an impossible angle less than two minutes into the game to put the U.S. up 1-0 on the Czech Republic. After an own-goal off the skate of American defenseman Ryan Suter about three minutes later, the game is tied at 1.
