Evi Sachenbacher-Stehle, German Biathlete, Reportedly the First Sochi Olympian Caught Doping

Evi Sachenbacher-Stehle, a 33-year old German biathlete, is the first Sochi athlete to get caught doping according to reports. Sachenbacher-Stehle, who finished 4th in both the Women’s Mass Start and Mixed Relay biathlon events, will have her B-sample tested today. At the 2006 Olympics, Sachenbacher-Stehle served a 5-day suspension when she tested positive for high hemoglobin levels. She has won 5 medals in her Olympic career, all as a cross country skier.
