Seth Meyers will take over Late Night tonight following Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show. Peter Gammons is understandably excited. Meyers is a Red Sox fan and Fallon played one in a movie once. In fact, Gammons already expects them to be so good that they should be replayed at 5 and 6am.

That is a very confusing compliment. Did they use to do that with Johnny Carson? Does Gammons not know about DVR? Should I have stopped searching for meaning when I realized he said, “Jommy?” There’s always a chance this was just a random arrangement of letters accidentally typed inside the pocket of Gammons.
